Financial Literacy for All Ages
Bath Savings is committed to the financial well being of people of all ages in the communities we serve. One way we do that is by offering financial education programs to our customers and the community.
FDIC Money Smart Program
Bath Savings is an Alliance Partner in Money Smart, an award-winning FDIC financial education curriculum designed to help consumers understand basic financial services, develop money-management skills and learn how to use banking services effectively.
We use Money Smart resources to counsel individual customers at our branches and address financial math classes at area schools. Topics include budgeting, borrowing, saving, and the importance of good credit.
Teach Children to Save
Bath Savings is an enthusiastic participant in Teach Children to Save, a national program designed to help young people develop a savings habit early in life. Our dedicated volunteers visit school classrooms in our communities to help students learn the importance of saving and how to develop money management skills.
Sneakers Children’s Savings
Kids love Sneakers in the Bank, our savings program designed just for them. Sneakers the Cat, our kids’ banking mascot, encourages children to start saving young and begin a lifetime of smart money management. Plus, our Frequent Savers program gives smart savers the opportunity to win extra money and prizes — which makes saving fun and rewarding.
